Me
I am a TV Producer/Director with extensive broadcast experience of over 30 years.
I have plied my trade and expertise at the SABC(South African Broadcasting Corporation), Bop Broadcasting(1st South African Independent broadcaster) and with various foreign media companies. In 1992 I won the best Television Technical Director award. I was one of the anchor presenters at the SABC during the South Africa’s 1994 First Democratic Elections, lectured part-time Television Production at Allenby College Centurion campus(RSA) in 2001. Between 2009/10 I headed the Southern Africa Direct TV’s programming and production divisions of an international direct marketing broadcaster on SKY bouquet channel 270 in the UK. In 2006 I was a Documentary Judge for the Emmy Awards (Africa Asia region). For my Social Investment contribution I became a founder member of the Hit Parade Youth Development project in North West province (South Africa) empowering juveniles; HIV/aids infected and affected youth in and around the mining region of Carletonville and Welverdiend.
Some of my career highlights include creating and developing the North West Parks and Tourism Board’s branding slogan ”Taking Pride in our Heritage”(a provincial environmental governmental agency), conducting One-on-One interviews with Zimbabwean Former President Robert Mugabe in Harare and Zambia’s former President Dr Kenneth Kaunda in 1996.
I was an Executive producer for the Truth and Reconciliation TV Series at the SABC, produced a documentary on the killing of a Mozambican journalist Carlos Cardoso in Maputo, a teenage game show for Botswana Television(Funtimes-2006), co-produced and directed a Guinness TV series for West and Eastern Africa regions, Producer/Director of 50/50 an iconic environmental television series on SABC (RSA 2018-19), produced a corporate audiovisual journal fo the International Finance Corporations (IFC) a division of World Bank in 2010, post production producer and video editor of a reality series Bar One Manhunt Series II on SABC 3(RSA) in 2012 and Series producer/director of Nigerian Idol Season 3 and 4 (2013-14) to mention but few.
